In his book, The Moving Image, Gorham Kindem writes that “Producers are risk takers, who seize an idea, run with it, and convince others to follow them.” In the case of Ricky Paull Goldin, we can add heredity to that list. Ricky’s Uncle, Jake Gold, is the mogul movie Producer of many blockbusters including “The Guns of Navarone,” “The Medusa Touch,” and “The Merchant of Venice.’ Producing is in Goldin’s genes; he has the brain of a producer.

Even when his work appeared concentrated on his acting career – on TV, on stage and via the internet – Ricky always pursued his love of the production process. While still only in his 20s and in the early years of a phenomenal run on Broadway and then in Daytime TV, Ricky co-created, produced (along with Gabe Sachs of Sachs/Judah), and starred in ABC’s primetime summer hit, “Street Match,” a groundbreaking reality TV show about dating. Ricky then again intuitively tapped into the fledgling concept of reality TV as Creator/Producer (partnered with Bruce Nash at Nash Ent.) for a TV pilot called “Wired & Fired.”

Production deals with Telepictures and Warner Brothers followed, with Goldin using his production expertise to combine a computer game – “You Don’t Know Jack” – with prime time TV. In 2001, Ricky co-created and produced “FLY-TV,” a variety show-style pilot for Viacom.

2003 saw Ricky producing “The Celebrity Arabian Adventure,” shot entirely on location in Dubai for ESPN2, as well as the In-flight Programming for Emirates Airlines. He then produced the half-hour comedy pilot “Knockouts” starring Lou Rawls, which segued into a deal with Emmy award winning writer Maxine Lapiduss to produce the one hour dramedy “Doin Life.”

With numerous successful projects already under his belt, in 2010 Ricky set out on a personal journey to pay tribute to his late father, Dr. Paul Goldin, a globally respected PhD in the world of hypnotism and a Master of the paranormal. Goldin needed to honor his father’s dying wish that he reveal mysteries of the paranormal and distinguish those who have the gift from those who are frauds. For this special project, Goldin teamed up with Leftfield Productions (PAWN STARS). With Ricky as its Creator and Producer, “SeeingVSBelieving” premiered on TLC in May 2010 as a one-hour special.

Currently in 2012, Goldin has two projects in development with HGTV in the Lifestyle space. Internationally, Goldin kicked off the year with the acquisition of the European reality hit format “Celebrity Salon.” Goldin debuted the US version at the 2012 Realscreen Summit.

Goldin has co-production deals with the following production companies: Powderhouse, Magilla, The Idea Factory, BHE, BCII, Juma, Leftfield, and Bray Ent.

Ricky Paull Goldin is represented by John Ferriter and Brian Speiser at OCTAGON and up-to-the minute news of his production projects (past, current, and future) are featured at the home of Ricky’s production company…….(coming soon).

Growing up with an internationally famed father who was a world renowned hypnotist and master of the paranormal, multi Emmy-nominated television personality Ricky Paull Goldin travelled the real world continually as a youngster. With a naturally outgoing personality, Ricky's travels and exposure to the entertainment world have shaped who he is: a keen wit with an inquisitive, easy going approach to people that translates into a unique ability to relate to anyone, to chat, ask questions and get answers about anything and everything. It’s no wonder, then, that hosting and interviewing come easily to Ricky.

Whether he’s interacting with fans, hosting major primetime TV events or his own productions, Ricky’s distinct and innate style adapts to the occasion. He's equally comfortable in business, social or entertainment settings. Ricky’s hosting credits are varied and run the gamut from network TV to sports, to charitable events. He’s hosted ESPN auto racing and the Dubai World Cup Horse Race with a $6 million purse. After the big race, Ricky was chosen by the Sheiks to do the in-flight programming for Emirates airline. Ricky was host at a glittering charity gala at the fabulous Waldorf Astoria in NYC and co-hosted a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., with Sarah Jessica Parker.

During his time at CBS, the network often turned to Ricky for special projects. Ricky hosted a series of one-on-one interviews during a major promo for CBS Daytime programming. He went behind the scenes, revealed a few soap secrets and interviewed cast members. The result was a rare insight into the world of CBS daytime that heralded yet another opportunity for Ricky. CBS Daytime launched an internet call-in chat show and tapped Ricky as its host. CBS’s weekly Soapbox was a huge success. CBS was not the only network to recognize Ricky's skills. He hosted the ground breaking and successful dating show Street Match on ABC Primetime. This lead to appearances on several Primetime Live from the Red Carpet Emmy shows for ABC, where Ricky hosted, presented and was nominated during the ceremonies. Ricky (partnered with Bruce Nash at Nash Ent.) hosted a TV pilot, "Wired & Fired," and TV Guide Channel also turned to Ricky to host a segment for a daytime special.

In 2010, Ricky returned to his childhood roots and embarked on a personal journey. He needed to honor his father's dying wish that he reveal mysteries of the paranormal and distinguish those who have the gift from those who are frauds. Having lived it through his father’s work, Ricky tapped in to his own instinctual understanding to host his own production - Seeing VS Believing – for TLC. Ricky's special interviewing skills and intuition were the perfect combination to get to the truth. So powerful was the presentation that TLC bought it immediately and aired it as a one-hour special.

Switching direction, Ricky recently hosted a light hearted behind the scenes look at Disney Family’s hit web series CeReality - a collaboration with Kellogg’s and a cutting edge new approach to on line advertising. This concept gave Ricky a chance to combine his hosting skills with his comedic timing.

Ricky’s is currently starting work on an un-named groundbreaking project for HGTV with a launch during the 2012-13 season

Born in San Francisco January 5 to Irish and British parents, Ricky was raised on both sides of the Atlantic. Ricky shares his life with his fiancée Gretta Monahan and is a new Dad to their 18-month old son, Kai Rei Goldin born October 21, 2010.

RICKY PAULL GOLDIN's entertainment career took off at the age of 3. As a youngster, he starred in Romper Room, Alf, Kate & Allie, 21 Jump Street and by the age of 15 he had made it to BROADWAY, starring in ON GOLDEN POND. By age 18, he had appeared in over 150 television commercials, winning four CLIOs. Ricky's list of achievements is impressive: movies, TV comedy, drama, and theater (straight plays & musicals) with command performances for 4 US Presidents. In addition, his quick wit makes hosting easy for him. He has hosted everything from ESPN auto races in Dubai, to 5 Live from the Red Carpet Emmy events for Disney/ABC.

Ricky has enjoyed great success in musical theater, from Rock to Gilbert & Sullivan. He was handpicked by Tommy Tune and Jeff Calhoun from 3000 performers to Star as Danny Zuko in the Broadway Revival of 'Grease' opposite Rosie O’Donnell and Brooke Shields. Ricky later starred in the 'The Pirates of Penzance' in London and at the Olympic Theater, the Broadway of Dublin, Ireland.

Ricky and daytime proved to be a wonderful partnership. He was a series regular on Another World, Guiding Light, All My Children, and in Daytime's #1 series The Young and the Restless. Along the way Ricky picked up 4 Emmy Nominations for Outstanding Actor - a nomination at each Network - finally winning at the Emmys for Best Couple in Daytime. To these and other accolades, Ricky can add a feat rarely seen: the unique distinction of being one of very few actors to successfully cross over all three Major Networks in Daytime Television. He proved to be a fan favorite on each iconic drama.

Ricky's Uncle, Jack Gold, is the mogul movie Producer of, amongst others, 'The Guns of Navarone,' 'The Medusa Touch,' and 'The Merchant of Venice.' Producing is in his genes, and Ricky has always pursued his love of this process. With successfully creating numerous TV pilots already under his belt, in 2010 Ricky set out on a personal journey to pay tribute to his late father, Dr. Paul Goldin, a superstar of the world of hypnotism and Master of the paranormal. 'SeeingVSBelieving,' with Ricky as its creator, Producer and host, premiered on TLC in May 2010.

Shortly after Ricky ended his run on All My Children, Disney Family.com picked him to Star in their collaboration with Kellogg's for a new brand of on-line advertising. 'CeReality' is Disney Family's cutting edge mini web series, and it debuted in late September 2011. The first of the series-'The Young and the Breakfast'- took an affectionate tongue-in-cheek poke at the soap opera genre and gave Ricky the perfect vehicle to showcase his natural comedic timing.

Ricky has produced shows for ABC TV and ESPN Sports, created & sold original content to TLC and is currently developing a new show at The STYLE Network, as well as HGTV/DIY Networks. Ricky’s is currently starting work on an un-named groundbreaking project for HGTV with a launch during the 2012-13 season.

Born in San Francisco January 5 to Irish and British parents, Ricky was raised on both sides of the Atlantic, attended Fordham University, and studied with the best acting coaches in the business. Ricky shares his world with his fiancée Gretta Monahan, the love of his life and co-producer of his greatest achievement to date, their son Kai Rei Goldin, born October 21, 2010.
